ROOM WITH A VIEW
A studio building where I was residing during a summer in Vaasa was participating in an open studio event during a weekend. Knowing I wouldn’t be present those days, but still wanting to open up the studio, I made a site-specific piece for the occasion that reflected on that absence and presence.
A studio building where I was residing during a summer in Vaasa was participating in an open studio event during a weekend. Knowing I wouldn’t be present those days, but still wanting to open up the studio, I made a site-specific piece for the occasion that reflected on that absence and presence.
A new door was built with a square hole in it, and an LCD screen installed behind. The video was a 40 min video – SD in real time – of one evening when the windows were kept open, letting the wind pass through, occasionally producing fast light reflections on the floor while the curtains and windows were moving at a slow pace.
