Grievers, Oracles and One-Eyed Poets

The collages are based on photos of debris, seemingly inert material, found in a tidal area of a former lagoon off the Atlantic coast of Senegal, marked by human activities. The materials are parts of marine animals, plants and synthetic objects that have lost their original shape. By suggesting new life forms, the collages reflect on survival and how the materials we leave behind will eventually become part of us.
