Dear friends
Web-project, 2002

A letter was sent out to all my friends, asking them to help me create a kind of a substitute for a dream, of having them all, from different parts of the world, in one place. The friends were asked to upload a picture taken from their everyday – to a web-page particularly created for this project, www.mmmaria.com – that reminded them of me for some reason. The collection of images was updated every day during the exhibition in Galleria Kluuvi in Helsinki, 2002, and was projected as a slideshow. The project was made in collaboration with Bas Horsting, a web-designer and programmer, and also one of those friends.
